The review process is comprehensive, applying universally to all newly created or modified ads, encompassing traditional and responsive search ads as well as other pay-per-click campaigns, ads are reviewed within one business day, but ads requiring manual scrutiny or related to sensitive content may take two or more business days to receive approval. This ensures that ads comply with Google’s strict advertising standards and provide a safe experience for users.

When an ad or campaign remains in “Pending review” status beyond two full business days, advertisers are advised to take proactive measures. Firstly, they should verify the ad status through their account and seek assistance from Google Ads support via help tickets or live chat. Revisiting and ensuring full alignment with Google’s advertising policies is key to identifying any hidden compliance issues that could be delaying approval. Resolving any account-related issues, such as payment problems or compliance concerns, can also help expedite the process.

Google Ads Approval status

However, if the advertisement needs to be reviewed manually, it may take two or more working days.

What to Do if Your Ads Campaign Is Stuck Under Review?

Here’s what you should do if your campaign is still under review after 2 full business days:

  • Check the ad’s status and get help from support via a ticket or Google Ads’ live chat.
  • Check your ad again to ensure it follows Google’s rules.
  • Identify and resolve payment or compliance concerns with the account.
  • Search for comparable situations on forums and attempt their fixes.
  • Either wait for a response from Google or make a fresh advertisement. You might also attempt advertising on other websites, such as Facebook.ds.

Keep in mind that Google maintains the right to temporarily halt ad serving or review your ads in order to maintain system stability and policy compliance. You may therefore need to wait out the review, even if it takes some time.
